On the sixth day of Christmas break....

The sixth day of Christmas break can be summed up in one possibly made up hyphenated word!  Bake-a-thon!

We were headed to my mom's/Meme's for our first Christmas outing that evening.  Our responsibility was to bring desserts.  I handed off delegated this to Grace since she loves to bake these days.  Sadly, I took no pictures of the baking extravaganza, but here are a few of the recipes she's made over the past several days.  (I've helped a little but she is in charge these days in the kitchen, and I. LOVE. IT.)  Also, none of these are our pictures...I swiped them online, but you get the idea, right?

Brownie cupcakes...we actually made these with the mint truffle kisses and then added piped on cream cheese frosting.  I so wish I had taken pictures.  They were so cute and yummy. Score: A

Grace made her very first buttermilk pie.  Score: A

And this coca cola cake...yum!  Score: A 

These lemon bar thingies we saw on Pinterest that were made using only two ingredient. We did not like these at all.  They turned out too spongy yuck. Score: D

Grace is becoming a pro at sweet potato pie making.  Score: A+

And last but not least:  Christmas popcorn!  This stuff is addictive and easy to make.  A recipe for disaster if you're looking to eat healthy.  Good thing we aren't concerned with those things.  At least not until January 1st! Score: A+
